Why We Started

Estimating shouldn't feel like guesswork

Most material calculators online are built as an afterthought, a single input box bolted onto a page full of ads, giving you a number with no context for what it actually means on site. Anyone who has ordered a truckload of aggregate short, or mixed one bag too few of concrete, knows how expensive that gap between "the number" and "the job" can be.

QuickTonnage exists to close that gap. Every tool we publish is built around real purchasing units dump truck loads, pallets, bags, totes not just raw tonnage or volume, so the number on your screen maps directly to what you'll actually order from a yard or supplier.

📄

Printable Estimates

Every calculator generates a clean, one-click PDF-ready summary you can hand to a client or supplier.

⚠️ Our honesty policy on accuracy

Some numbers in construction are exact, a cubic yard is always 27 cubic feet, and a published bag yield is a published bag yield. Others, like wet-mix yield factors, bond-pattern waste, or soil bearing capacity, are informed approximations that depend on conditions no calculator can see from a browser. We clearly separate the two throughout our tools instead of presenting every output with false precision, and we always recommend confirming final quantities with your supplier or a site professional before ordering.

Who We're For

Contractors and homeowners, side by side

QuickTonnage is built for two kinds of people: the contractor who needs a fast, defensible number to build a bid around, and the homeowner or DIYer tackling a weekend project who has never ordered a yard of gravel in their life. Every tool works for both, simple enough to use with two required fields, deep enough to hold up under a professional's scrutiny once you open the advanced settings.
